This is the official website of the phenomenal and outstanding Psi Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated®!  
 

Psi Omega Chapter was chartered in Boston, Massachusetts, in 1926. Members proudly serve the Greater Boston area, providing programs and scholarships that address the needs of our community.  We have 200 professional, college-educated women actively engaged in implementing the exciting international programs of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated®. Service and sisterhood have been the cornerstone of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated® since 1908. With the theme Soaring to Greater Heights of Service and Sisterhood, the 2022-2026 administration seeks to build upon Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority’s rich legacy of service by galvanizing our sisterhood of more than 120,000 active members to lead on the front lines of change, education, and advocacy.

This administration has six initiatives. Strengthen Our Sisterhood will serve as the administration’s “Foundation Initiative” as we strengthen our bonds to support our service mission.

The remaining five initiatives will serve as the “Program Initiatives” which include:

• Empower Our Families

• Build Our Economic Wealth

• Enhance Our Environment

• Advocate for Social Justice

• Uplift Our Local Community

These initiatives are designed to improve the lives of those we serve. We will work collaboratively to maximize our outreach on progressive endeavors and consistently produce leaders who will advance our credo of service.

Our chapter focuses on the “S.T.A.R.S” 

● Strengthening the bonds of sisterhood -support each other in our commitment to Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated®. 

● Transparency-in our what as well as the why to make informed decisions to best serve the community, chapter and organization. 

● Accountability-Hold ourselves and each other accountable for our words and actions to consistently deliver high standards of service. 

● Respect-For ourselves and each other to foster sisterliness and service.

● Service- continuing our legacy of Service to all Mankind.

 
Psi Omega Chapter has several signature events we welcome the community to attend including our annual and trademarked pINKWELL® - ΨΩ AKA Beach Party with a purpose, held the third Thursday in August in Oak Bluffs, MA. Our bi-annual debutante program offers positive self image, role models, and personal development activities that promote high moral and ethical standards for young women. Along with the debutantes, young men, serving as escorts, attend workshops centered-around financial literacy, the college application process, and etiquette. The six-month program culminates with a formal ball that allows the community to acknowledge and celebrate the efforts of the debutantes, and their escorts, into mature cultured, confident, principled, and civic-minded women.

We welcome all active Sorors to our chapter meetings that occur on the 3rd Saturday of the month. Our next chapter meeting is January 20th, 2024.
