Members of Psi Omega participate in virtual MLK Day of service

To celebrate the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., members of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated participated in a virtual day of service.

Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, this year's activities were virtual, but that did not stop Boston's Psi Omega Chapter.

On Monday, January 18, the members fellowshipped in a welcome meeting before diving into several volunteering activities.

Some members of the chapter created skill videos for children of the Boys and Girls Club of Greater Lowell.

Psi Omega President, Kathy Lucas, created a video to teach people how to properly clean their glasses.

Natalie Dixon, a member of Psi Omega and a registered nurse, demonstrated the proper way to wear a cloth mask.

Taunya Garrett and her daughter Madison created a video to teach students how to play Mancala.

Other members of the Psi Omega chapter showed their appreciation for essential workers through card making.

The virtual activites were also featured on Boston 25 News and Psi Omega member Chrystal Porter spoke about the importance of service, especially during the pandemic.
