It is a sincere pleasure to greet and welcome you to the website of the Phenomenal Psi Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated.  Psi Omega Chapter, was chartered in February, 1926, and has been a provider of many inspirational and educational community programs to the greater Boston area residents for over 84 years! We have provided approximately $100,000 in scholarships to graduating high school seniors, to assist them in pursuing a college education.  Our community service projects range from working with young girls at Goodwill’s Mellon Academy, hosting a Big for the Day Event for girls and their mentors from the Big Sister Association, sorting food at the Boston Food Bank as well as providing duffel bags for children at The Italian Home.

Founded on January 15, 1908, Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated is the oldest Greek letter Sorority founded by and for African-American women.  Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated’s mission of “Service to All Mankind” began at its inception. Alpha Kappa Alpha and has remained at the forefront of positive change in American life.  In our second century of service, we strive to keep this legacy alive with our over arching theme, “Global Leadership Through Timeless Service Initiatives” at the local, regional and national level.  Our members will continue to unleash our unlimited potential to significantly empower citizens and promote peace.  We will carry out much of our work through collaboration and partnership with others, as well as forge new grounds.
