Embracing Sisterhood

President Welcome to the website of Psi Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated. Since 1926, Psi Omega Chapter has proudly served the Greater Boston region, providing programs and scholarships to address the needs of our community.  We are college educated professional women with unique expertise and skills, which we to use to fulfill our mission of service to all mankind.

Our Chapter members proudly embrace our 2010-2014 International Program Initiative, Global Leadership Through Timeless Service. We are excited about our Emerging Young Leaders Program for middle school girls and our programs held under our Health, Global Poverty, Economic Security, and Social Justice and Human Rights Initiatives.  In addition, we are delighted give annual academic scholarships to high school seniors and host special programs like our Precious Pearls Debutante Program. We could not do this great work or fulfill our mission alone, and thank you, our community and partnering organizations for supporting our efforts.  Together, let’s continue to make a difference.

All visiting Sorors must show proof of membership


On the first Saturday of each month, from September to June, the Psi Omega Chapter volunteers at the Benjamin Healthcare Center from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm. This monthly activity will resume on September 7, 2013. The Benjamin Healthcare Center is located at 120 Fisher Avenue, Roxbury Crossing, MA. This programming is open to the public. Please join us!


Applications are now being accepted for Psi Omega Chapter's Emerging Young Leaders Program for middles school girls in grades 6-8.
The program meets on the 2nd Saturday of the month from 10AM to 12PM. Applications should be submitted to

Precious Pearls Debutante Program

The Boston Pearl Foundation, Inc. - Psi Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. is pleased to announce that it will host its Biannual Precious Pearls Cotillion on May 31, 2015.
The Precious Pearls Debutante Program is for young women enrolled in grades 9-12, who demonstrate exemplary academic achievement, possess exceptional character, and have outstanding involvement in extra-curricular activities and community service. The Debutante Program seeks to motivate and educate participants to grow academically, professionally and culturally.
